Students will learn skills to manage their financial resources effectively for lifetime financial security. Students will gain knowledge of earning an income; understanding state and federal taxes; banking and financial services; balancing a checkbook; savings and investing; planning for retirement; understanding loans and borrowing money; understanding interest, credit card debt, and e-commerce; identity fraud and theft; understanding insurance; and understanding the financial impact and consequences of spending beyond one s means.
